Talk Permit Tone (Standard)
This tone is used to indicate to the user that they are clear to talk on an unencrypted channel. It can be programmed for both Analog and Digital modes on conventional and trunked systems. On conventional the tone serves no practical use other than being a byproduct of pressing PTT but on trunked systems it indicates that the radio has authenticated with the system controller and you are free to talk on the system.
